Hygiene Education for Little Hands from MAKÜ Students on "October 15 World Handwashing Day"

An event titled "Hand Washing Education Activity" was held under the consultancy of Dr. Lecturer Hanife Ülgen from Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing, within the scope of "October 15 World Handwashing Day". The event was organized for the students of 75th Year Republic Kindergarten and was prepared by the students taking the elective course of School Health Nursing under the coordination of the responsible lecturer of the course.

During the event, the importance of handwashing and the situations in which hands should be washed were conveyed to the students through prepared materials and experiments. Additionally, the correct handwashing technique was demonstrated practically by the students taking the course, and all kindergarten students participated in this training by washing their hands using the correct method.

The event concluded with gifts given to the kindergarten students, fun games, and a music recital.
